When integrating Inepro PRO meters, it is necessary to take into account that the meters have a consumption on the M-Bus bus (possibly more than) twice as much as the standard M-Bus unit, which represents 1.5 mA. In idle mode, this is approx. 3 mA. For conventional converters, the number of Inepro PRO meters may therefore only be half the number declared in the catalog sheet (which takes into account the standard consumption of 1 unit, i.e. 1.5 mA).
If this number is exceeded, the converter may overload and jam, after which the converter or runtime must be restarted. In general, we recommend always having at least a 20% reserve on the converter.
This rule introduces quite significant limitations into the bus sizing, e.g. on R096, which is designed for a load of 60 M-Bus units, i.e. 60 standard meters with a consumption of 1 unit, less than 30 Inepro PRO meters can be connected - the recommended value with a reserve would even be only 25 meters.
