After upgrading to a newer version of the IDE when connected, Platform Config reports that the runtime needs to be updated (red exclamation mark in the line with the controller). In some cases the update fails - it has worked:
When the firewall is turned on, it can also prevent the correct detection of the controller status, and Platform Config then erroneously reports that the firmware needs to be reuploaded, even if it is not necessary. Likewise, a red exclamation mark appears when the MiniPLC IP address is not on the same network as the IDE computer.
