IMPACT, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The centre of IMPACT (International Multilateral Partnership Against Cyber Threats) was opened in summer 2009 in Malaysian Cyberjaya where technological firms are concentrated.

At the area of more than 5000 sqm can be found laboratories, training rooms, research workplaces, and operating centre which monitors network attacks and helps to keep the world cyberspace safe. The building is air-conditioned using municipal cold water distribution network. There are air handling units in the building sections, complemented by 3-stage fancoils. At the design stage, impact was put on energy savings and optimum operation considering different occupancy times of the building sections (the operating center works 24/7). The installed components are resistant to local environmental conditions: high temperature and air humidity.
